TOTAL COST

Savings can be made over the standard prices if you're on a tight budget. Choose to fit used seats, modify the donor exhaust or source a lower cost lighting set. Mk1 Ford Focus prices are now less than £500 if you look around so no need to strip a write off without a V5c. However, you may wish to buy only the items you need from a breakers yard. Your total build budget should be between £6000 and £7000.

Don't forget to sell your surplus parts on Ebay. You will be pleasantly surprised at the prices achieved by this modern & common car. The air bag set alone costs £700 new (but don't touch it until the battery has been off for at least half an hour though!).
